Packaging Sterilization

ASEPTIC PACKAGING

Over the past few years, the use of aseptic packaging for food products has grown considerably. The main reasons for this growth include the effective levels of sterilisation achieved, linked to the development of more efficient machinery.

There are two main types of sterilisation systems or methods for manufacturing aseptic packaging:

  • Aseptic Packaging by Bath/Immersion
  • Aseptic Packaging by Spray/Vaporisation/Mist

FMC Foret has developed a type of hydrogen peroxide for each machine, based on the working conditions of each.
AOPACK® is recommended for use with dip bath aseptic packaging, while AOBAFOS® is recommended for use with spray aseptic packaging. In addition, FMC Foret has developed a new type of oxygenated water, AOBAFOS® BI PLUS, that is suitable for both types of Aseptic Packaging.

DISINFECTION OF SURFACES, EQUIPMENT AND SYSTEMS

FMC Foret has a wide range of biocides based on Peracetic Acid for disinfecting food processing plants (slaughterhouses, canning plants), drinks (dairy industry, beers), bottling and fruit and vegetable plants (disinfection of greenhouses, warehouses and surfaces).
