OFFNOx® is a powder additive which removes nitrogen oxides (NOx) from the air by a natural oxidation on the material surface. NOx are important atmospheric pollutants and contributes to photochemical smog, Green acid rain and Climate Change. They are part of GreenHouse Gases.
OFFNOx® CONCEPT
OFFNOx® is composed of photocatalyst and enhancers. This combination produces a synergist effect, so that NOx photo oxidation occurs in a bigger extent than when any of the components are used separately. OFFNOx® removes NOx continuously due to its self-cleaning properties, which avoid catalyst deactivation.
Photocatalyst (TiO2)
- Absorbs light turning it into chemical energy.
- Suffers deactivation because of by products (nitrates)
Enhancers
- No photocatalytic activity
- Absorb by products and avoid TiO2 deactivation
OFFNOx® is similar to natural minerals. It’s not toxic, nor flammable. It is iniquitous and inert.
APPLICATIONS:
OFFNOx® can potentially be applied in any outdoors surface, provided the right technology.
