FMC Foret


 

FMC Foret produces Sodium Bisulfite in two concentrations: 35% and 40%. It is mainly used to treat water, as a food additive and in the paper industry.








SODIUM BISULFITE

Applications:

Food: Preserving fruit, vegetable juices and shellfish (anti-melanotic).

Brewery: Sterilizing barrels, tanks and equipment in general.

Tanning: Dichromate reducing-agent in chromium tanning.

Photography: Reducing-agent and preservative for fixers.

Synthetic Fibers: Polymerizing catalyst. Introduction of SO3 radicals.

Paper: Anti-chlorine agent after bleaching with hypochlorite.

Surfactants: Reactive in manufacture of sodium alkyl-sulfosuccinate.

Textiles: Antichlorine in bleaching baths. Wool bleaching.

Water Treatment: Agent reductor.

Appearance: Slightly yellow liquid
